Shoulder Steroid Injection
Shoulder pain can cause significant disability and affect your ability to sleep. The types of conditions that affect shoulders range from Adhesive Capsulits (Frozen Shoulder), acromioclavicular joint sprains to Shoulder impingements and Tendinopathy.
Most shoulder pain presents on the outside of the arm like the image below. It is not always possible to tell where the pain is coming from without an ultrasound scan or MRI. During your assessment we will perform a range of tests to identify the most likely cause of the pain and then perform a diagnostic ultrasound scan so we can see inside the shoulder and identify the injury. Steroid injections for shoulder pain are common when you are not responding to conservative treatments.
Once we have identified the cause of your pain, we can discuss treatment options which may involve an ultrasound-guided steroid injection into the inflamed tissues. below are some of the conditions we can treat with steroid injections.
