Elbow
Elbow pain can be resistant to conservative treatments like Physiotherapy. Unfortunately occasionally pain persists despite being diligent with your regular exercise routine. Tennis Elbow and Golfers Elbow are common elbow conditions that occasionally require more aggressive treatments.
Tennis Elbow usually causes pain around the outside of the arm, whereas Golfer's Elbow tends to cause pain on the inside of the arm. Both conditions are aggravated by gripping and pulling and are not always associated with Tennis and Golf!
Treatment for these types of conditions more often than not does not require a steroid injection. There are exceptions and other treatment options that dont involve steroids are PRP injections, Hyaluronic acid injections and Ultrasound-guided Dry Needling.
Tennis Elbow
Tennis elbow is the commonly used term to describe the condition “common extensor origin tendinopathy”.
